We all know that feeling. Total infatuation, the feverish excitement – you’ve fallen head-over-heels in love to the point you can’t concentrate on anything else… until you own that pair of shoes. Or that bag. Or that unbearably cute dress.

It’s broken many hearts and many credit cards, this fatal attraction. But what’s a girl to do? The only way to remedy a problem is to get the cure. So I feel it is highly appropriate that I share some of my most recent “cures” with you all. Please indulge in a few of my favourite things (minus the whiskers on kittens)!

A frock to end all frocks. Huffer’s Bustier Dress is one of those supremely handy numbers – so versatile that it can be worn as a simple sundress with sandals and oversized straw hat for those lazy beach days, or hit the other end of the spectrum and doll yourself up with some sexy heels and pink lippy for a night out, à la the babelicious model in the pic. I must say, I’m loving the eggshell blue colour… A must have for summer.

I simply can’t go past these sunnies. They are just so fricken sweet. Karen Walker is famous the world over for her super cool eyewear collections and the Super Duper Strength is by no means an exception. A classic style that channels the stylistic magic that was the 1960s (thanks Jackie O), they look amazing on almost every face shape. Mmmm, yes please!

I love, love, LOVE soft pastel colours – they complement my decidedly pasty complexion (cheers Mum & Dad) – and I equally love comfy clothing that you can wear without looking like a frump. Enter the Cut-Out Sweater from SGC’s ‘The Big Come Down’. Simply gorgeous. You can wear this around the house in the weekend and not be embarrassed when you receive unexpected visitors, because you look SO COOL.

Shoes are my Achilles heel – pun totally intended. And for those of you who are lucky enough to have experienced the pure amazingness that is Kathryn Wilson Shoes, you will understand where I’m coming from on this. The Manolas Wedge is undeniably the most comfortable heel I have put on my footsies in a long time. With 7 layers of lining (that’s right, 7 – most shoes only have 2-3) you can wear these all day without a hitch. Forget those thin “cankle” straps; this ankle strap is wide so it is extremely flattering to the eye. And nothing makes a paper bag outfit look a million bucks like a great pair of well-made (comfortable) shoes.

Ahhhh yes, I feel a lot better now – all cured thank you very much! Until next time…
